Biography

For as long as she can remember Zinnia has always had a love for the arts. She grew up in the Orlando area among the palm trees and theme parks. In college she studied theater. She loved all aspects of the stage, but thrived as a scenic painter. From there, Zinnia worked as a professional scenic artist and spent several years painting all kinds of sets, props, murals and signs for theme parks, TV commercials and theatrical events. While enjoying the challenge of each new project that came along, She felt a need to create art that was completely her own. And she most certainly did.

Zinnia is best known for her tulip collection, which was inspired by a trip to Holland in the spring. Her works consist of bright colors and bold strokes. They are contemporary with a popish flair. Zinnia's paintings include a variety of subjects but her main focus is nature and emotion. Her creations thrive with her unmistakable passion for color.

Zinnia has had numerous exhibits throughout the Orlando area. She has also shown work in Tampa, Hollywood, Fl and at the Tulip festival in Albany New York.
